Tilda helps me practice my colouring, distressing & shabby chic skills!!!

***This is my 3rd post today...please scroll down for more***

I love blog hopping & seeing all your lovely colouring, distressing & shabby chic makes. However I am rubbish at all 3 I decided to do a bit more blog hopping for some inspiration & actually have a practice at the 3 things I love but can't do!

The main inspiration for doing this card sprouted from me stumbling across
The Shabby Tearoom - 'buttons & bows'
Make it Colourful - colouring 'light source from top left'
challenge blogs

Here is my card

What do you think? I am very happy with the results considering how 'shabby' my colouring is!!
Do you think my shading is correct? Sorry I am rubbish with shading!!
I have recently started using promarkers & I'm starting to get use to them a little. I think this is one of my best colouring efforts to date. (I would like some copic sketch markers eventually!!!)

I would like to enter this card into the 2 challenges above plus a few more (as I have been away from the challenge scene other than my Ellephantastic Challenges for a long time!!)

Crafty Catz - 'Friendship'
Just Magnolia - sketch
Ones stop Craft - 'spring flowers'
Corrosive challenge - 'distressing'
Magnolia stamp lovers - 'buttons & bling'
Magnolia down under - 'flower power'
Totally Tilda - 'Fruity Tilda'
Bunny Zoe's - 'spring flowers everywhere'

Here's what I used on my card
6x6" card blank from Craftwork cards Harrogate stall last year
12x12" Papermania 'Rose Garden' papers
All the die cuts are from Die cut Dreams
Tilda was an image sent from Susie aka Sassy Susie of Die cut Dreams
I coloured the image using promarkers
I distressed the edge of the die cuts & paper with SU ink spots
The Friends stamp is SU 'vintage vogue' stamper with SU ink spots
The ribbon, buttons & blooms are from Crafty Feeling February bloom kit I've just started collecting

Happy Birthday to Nikki & my Li'l Bro!!

On a personal note - you may remember I mentioned previously about us having IVF treatment. We had our first go in January & unfortunately it didn't work. We are sad but positive for the future so its back to lots of crafting for me!

NEW Roger image & FREEBIE!!!

Well after a wee cry this afternoon - a few emotions stirred from yesterday's visit to Leeds I managed to get some digis done.
Yesterdays visit - The doc discussed with us possible reasons as to why my first cycle of IVF treatment didn't work & what they will do different in my 2nd cycle (when I have it) They are really good/nice doctors & he even saw us after we'd not actually been booked in properly for yesterday!!
Going back to the hospital brought my emotions back to the surface because the visit yesterday in our minds would have been my 7 week scan. I was also expecting them to say we'll have to go on a waiting list but in actual fact if we'd had the money yesterday we could have booked in for round 2! I wasn't sure about having another go but if I'd had the money I would have booked myself in there & then yesterday. We have the letter & phone number so as soon as we find the whopping £4250 we can ring up & book in.
Best start a whip round!!!! That's a lot of Rogers to sell & knitting to do LOL :0)

Anyways onto my images for today!
I have done a new Roger which was inspired by my dad's love of military modelling & I actually made this image a few weeks ago for his birthday card.

Roger - Pilot only £0.99p from my shop

A bit of card making!

I thought as I have some spare time today that I would share with you a few cards I have made over the past couple of months.

This first one is a Star Wars 3D box card I made for my brother's birthday

This is a Terry Pratchett 3D box card I made for my brother in law

A Doctor Who 3D box card made for an order

A scrabble board card made for an order. The tiles are 3D

Easel card made for an order for a special friend who is Scottish. The thistles picture is one of my own photos from winter

I've also made a cute decoupage card for my sister but forgot to photograph it...doh!!
It's been great getting back to cards. I hope to get some more done soon.
