Promarkers tutorial ~ cuddly bear with browns

I've been meaning to do a tutorial for a while & this evening I thought I'd do a little colouring & share. Today I am going to show you (after a lot of practice & experimenting!) how to colour a bear brown & him to look fairly soft & cuddly =0)
I am using: Baby Waffles the Bear digi stamp from Odds & Soxlets Crafters Companion Neenah Card Letraset Promarkers I printed the digi image using a canon printer

The colours I am using to colour Waffles are: Chestnut Terracotta Apricot Clear blender (I have also used Blush, Leaf Green, Meadow Green, Denim Blue & Pastel Blue)
To begin with I like to use the darkest colour which is the Chestnut. I have decided my light source is coming from the front so the middle of the bear is going to be catching the light. Starting with his ears I have laid down chestnut in the areas I want the darkest.
Next I have gone over the chestnut with the terracotta going further into the middle I use light circular movements repeat…

Oscar the knitted rabbit

(This is my 2nd post today please scroll down for the 1st)
I found the pattern for this rabbit online from Mary Jane's Tea room Isn't he cute?! Thought it was also meant to be because my boy rabbit was called Oscar =0)
I have knitted this for my little boy due in October. Hubby said because I love rabbits & have always had one (real & soft toy!) our baby should have one too!!

Hanging around with door hangers!

A bit of bling....it's a girl thing!!
I decided to have a rummage in my die cuts box after being inspired by one of Susie Sugar's cards the other day. All the door hangers & bears were actually from Susie's shop! I just love all these bears they're so cute!! I inked their edges up using a make-up sponge & my SU stamping spots. I also used pencils & a white gel pen for extra depth & highlights. All the decorations are bits from my stash.

A little princess lives here

Murphy's Room
The boy hangers I found a bit more challenging as you can't really bling them up the same as you can girly ones!!!

It's a Boy
Hope you enjoyed having a look. I certainly enjoyed having a play. Its great to be back crafting & blogging again =0)
